Seven ICC teens curated and exhibited family artifacts at the second My Story Our Future Opening Reception on February 4 attended by Senator Richard Blumenthal and Congressman Jim Himes at the Greenwich Historical Society.  ICC Founders Nisha Arora, Mudita Bhargava, and Meera Gilbert spoke about the contributions of ICC and South Asian Americans to the community.

The front page of the February 4, 2023 issue of the Greenwich Times featured the story behind My Story Our Future oral history workshops and the exhibit at Greenwich Historical Society on display from February 13 to February 25. 

My Story, Our Future is a youth-centered oral history project with South Asian American middle and high school students in collaboration with the Asian and Asian American Studies Institute at UConn, India Cultural Center, Greenwich Historical Society, and Maum Consulting. Listen to the stories on the AAASI Podcast. These stories help construct a new archive to build homegrown Asian American studies. New resources like this strengthen families and communities while also creating relatable lessons for a K-12 Asian American Studies curriculum.
