About the Event
Home to the largest cherry tree grove in New England, Mill River Park boasts more than 400 trees, native wildflowers, and three varieties of cherry blossoms. Mill River Park is a 30-acre reclaimed green space in the heart of Stamford that showcases the harmony between urban life and nature.
Lunch will be hosted in the Community Room at the Whittingham Discovery Center, Mill River's environmental education facility, where Mill River's education manager will lead a discussion on the park’s history and natural ecosystem, including native flora and fauna.
Lunch will be a build-your-own taco bar from BarTaco featuring veg and non-veg options. $15 per senior, $25 per non-senior. Pay in advance with registration or bring cash to pay in person. Please note the earlier start time (11AM).
