My Story Our Future
Fall 2024

For the last two years India Cultural Center,  the Asian and Asian American Studies Institute at UConn, and Greenwich Historical Society have collaborated to offer teens the opportunity to make South Asian American history -- history that is missing from American textbooks. Students learned how to interview family members on their experiences as immigrants to North America from South Asia. The interviews were woven into the State of CT's mandated K-12 AAPI cirruiculum .

This progam will be repeated in 2024.  ICC is collecting the names of students in middle and high schools who might be interested in participating.

ICC underwrites 100% of the cost.  To add your son or daughter's name to the list, sign up by emailing info@iccgreenwich.org.

Internships and Event Help

ICC is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit and offers teens the opportunity to earn community service.  Teens can intern at All About India, ICC's children's programming, by offering hands-on assistance to teachers and children. They can also volunteer to assist with set-up, registration, and activities at events such as HoliFest and ICC Speaker Series.  At ICC's gala, they can help with decor and guest check-in.   Interested teens should email info@iccgreenwich.org for more information or to volunteer.
